Prom night, two words Jake had come to dread over the past 3 days. After asking Alli, heĀ regrettedĀ it more than anything. Why had he been so stupid? Hadn’t he known both girls would find out eventually. He sat on the side of his bed with his head rested against the wall. There was good half hour before prom officially began. Which meant twenty minutes before he’d pick up Jess in the truck and lie about where they were going. His phone vibrated shaking the oak table it sat on.
