The descended the wall thanked their spotters who left them to unbuckle their harnesses. Jake noticed Jess anxiously check her phone, and smiled at her news. “That’s amazing, Jess!” He reached out to get he a hug, leaving his harness dangling around his knees. Jake was still waiting for his acceptance letter to Memorial, but he knew it was on the way. “I think you deserve an ice cream for that achievement!” He swung the harness off his foot and into his hand, holding it tightly. Together they returned the equipment and made their way back to Jake’s car.
” Thanks and I could go for some cream right now ” Jess said with a smile on her face as she give Jake a hug . She known for a while dancing was her thing and she was happy that she finally got a chance to make her dream come true . Ten minutes later they arrive to the ice cream parlor and took a few minutes to look at the menu board that was hanging on the wall . ” Hmm I will like cookies ‘n cream ” She said to the men behind the counter .
After entering the small ice cream parlor Jake was amazed at all the flavors they had. Jess decided pretty quickly and made her order, causing Jake to panic. He blurted out, “Rocky road,” and waited for them to scoop their cones. Jake paid for their dessert and lead them out to the patio. It was pretty warm day, and Jake was glad he though of ice cream. “So you have fun today?” he asked after licking up the drip that ran down the side of his cone.
